Discipline plays a key part in every child’s social development and If not taken seriously can ruin a child’s chances at being successful in life. Of course there are many different ways to teach discipline but who is to say one way is any better than the other? I recently came across an article that provided insight and tips on just how to discipline a child. I was surprised that the article stated that spanking your child shouldn’t be an option O_o. The article mentions methods like putting your child in timeout for a minute for each year of their age. How effective is this, really? I received quite a few spankings while I was growing up and I think I turned out fine. There is no sure fire way that will work for every child, so discipline must be reviewed according to the child and offense.
